Hi, I'm Erin O. - The "EO" in "EO Made".

I've been a crafty/artsy person since I was young. My first artistic endeavor was drawing. In high school, I took classes in ceramics, jewelry-making, photography, commercial art, drawing and painting. In my 20s, I crocheted, made origami, learned stained glass, and continued with photography. My late 30s through my early 40s was when I really started broadening my interests and skill set, and I dipped my toe in the waters of many different crafts: paper crafting, epoxy resin, graphic design, dye sublimation, candle-making, (heat transfer) vinyl, bookbinding, printing and cutting my own stickers, and polymer clay.

I worked a "corporate" job for all of my adult life. Up until 2020, that is. I was part of "The Great Resignation" in 2020, during the pandemic. I quit my marketing job of 17 years in November of 2020 and never looked back. It's been challenging, but I'm infinitely happier and I've met some amazing people along the way. I'm not sure what the future holds for me, job/career-wise; this might be it. For once in my life, I'm not worried about it.

All my items are made in my "studio", aka the craft dungeon. When I bought our house in 2006, the basement was unfinished. It also had a water issue. I'm not lying when I tell you it was not a place you'd want to spend any time in. Though it may not look all that fancy and neat now, I had it waterproofed, removed all the "walls" down to the support beams, and had it semi-insulated. It's a little chilly in the winter, but I am so grateful to have this space! I can be messy, creative, watch tv, be loud, listen to music and create so many things in this dedicated space. The other half of our extremely small basement contains a mini arcade area, and a small greenhouse! I share my home with my partner of 21 years, and a handful of birds.

If you have something I've made, you likely have a one-of-kind. I don't tend to mass produce anything, and I make everything one at a time, by hand. I'm self-taught, not a perfectionist, and enjoy the process as much as the finished item. I'm a Maker by heart, and I love seeing all the things people create with their hands.
